Terms & Conditions

Legal

These terms govern your use of christinemeintjes.com and any purchase made through it. The store is operated by Christine Meintjes Photography (Pty) Ltd (“Christine Meintjes”, “we”, “us”). By placing an order you agree to these terms.

Who you are buying from

Christine Meintjes Photography (Pty) Ltd, Cape Winelands, South Africa. Contact: cm@christinemeintjes.com. We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged.

Products and pricing

Prices are shown in South African Rand. Fine art prints are limited editions of 25 per artwork in total, across all sizes — each individually numbered and hand-signed by Christine Meintjes, with a certificate of authenticity. Prints are made to order; please allow 7–14 working days before dispatch.

Original paintings and ceramics are enquiry-led and priced individually. Sales of originals and ceramics are concluded under a separate individual agreement or invoice, not these online terms.

Orders and payment

Placing an order is an offer to buy; a sale is concluded once we confirm your order by email. Payment is processed securely by Yoco — no card details are entered or held on this site. For international orders, shipping is quoted and billed separately after purchase.

Risk and ownership

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Ownership passes once we have received payment in full and the goods have been delivered.

Cancellations

Because prints are made to order, an order cannot be cancelled once production has begun. If you need to change or cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible at cm@christinemeintjes.com and we will help where we can.

Returns

Our returns policy is set out on the Shipping & Returns page and forms part of these terms.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability arising from any order is limited to the price paid for the goods. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction.
