The art of connecting dots.

Artist & strategic partner

I’m an artist by practice and a strategic thinker by nature. Whether I’m creating a painting, shaping a company, or exploring a new idea, the work begins in the same way: seeing patterns, making connections and noticing possibilities others might overlook.

I

Throughout my non-linear career, one thread has remained constant: a curiosity for what becomes possible when creativity, ideas and systems come together.

Over the past two decades, I’ve worked across photography, media, e-commerce and venture building — from an international career as a lifestyle photographer, to co-founding The Pretty Blog, and later The Local Edit, a pioneering South African e-commerce platform. Different expressions, perhaps, but each shaped by the same instinct: to see possibility and find ways to bring it to life.

After years of building businesses, I chose to step away from momentum and return to making. What began as a grounding practice became something more — a return to art, and a different way of seeing.

Today, my practice moves between art and ideas. I create paintings, ceramics and photographic works exploring transformation, intuition and the beauty of what unfolds over time. Alongside this, I selectively partner with founders and creative entrepreneurs to shape design-led, tech-enabled ventures — bringing together creative thinking, strategic clarity and an instinct for what could be.

Different forms. The same way of seeing.

My work moves across painting, ceramics, photography, creative direction and advisory. Each is simply a different expression of the same practice: seeing possibility and bringing it into form.

Emergence

Du Toitskloof Wines, Rawsonville

4 September — 4 December 2026

Emergence explores what follows freedom — the quiet process of taking root, responding rather than controlling, and allowing what has been forming beneath the surface to become visible.

The exhibition brings together a new body of original paintings by Christine Meintjes and is currently on view at Du Toitskloof Wines in the Cape Winelands.

My perspective

I partner selectively with founders and creative entrepreneurs, helping bring clarity to ideas, products and ventures — uncovering patterns, challenging assumptions and giving shape to what could be.
