Free explores release, heaviness, and the slow movement toward lightness. The work is characterised by deep blues gathered toward the lower portion of the canvas, evoking the weight and immersion of deep water.
The scattered marks are inspired by the idea that grief disperses like glitter — lingering, unavoidable, and often invisible until caught by the light. As the eye moves upward, darker tones give way to softness and air, suggesting breath, surrender, and the gradual loosening of what once felt overwhelming.
Within Liberation, Free reflects the experience of letting go — not suddenly, but through patience and presence — allowing freedom to emerge gently rather than forcefully.
